Default Vaped in hospital Cafeteria

A few weeks ago, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
This is one of the worst cancers anyone could get. We were in the hospital visiting her and decided to go down to the cafeteria to get a soft drink.
While sitting at the table with my wife and sister-in-law. I felt the urge, so I proceeded to vape on my 510. My wife (Lil Queen) and sister-in-law decided to join me in a vaping session. It was in the mid afternoon and the cafeteria was not very crowded. We were in there for about thirty minutes. We were however discrete about our actions, and no one seemed to even notice what we were doing.

When we left the cafeteria to head back upstairs, once in the elevator, the three of us just looked at each other with grins on our faces, and said in almost perfect synchronicity "Cool!"

I work in a hospital that went no tobaco two years ago .It is sad to see patients and thier families walking across the parking lot and road in the rain or snow to get a fix.The funny part is they really push fattening stuff like donuts and cookies.I vape at my desk and my co workers think it is a hoot. I guess that shows our ages. I have heard stories of how they used to smoke almost everywhere in the old hospital I cannot imagine walking down the hall of a hospital puffing away. Perhaps someone will do the research and vaping will be commonplace.I guess we are pioneers of a sort and how we conduct ourselves might affect the future of mankind.

Well, I guess I am giving away my age when I say that yes I can remember when we could smoke anywhere in a Hospital, or any place else for that matter. I remember my father having the hardest time not lighting up anywhere he wanted when they started banning. I always had to remind him when I saw him going for it.
He would mumble a few curse words and then put them away. Rant

Those of you who might be interest to know, my mother in law has made a complete recovery from the pancreatic cancer. The doctors are all calling her a text book case and are dumbfounded by how she has recovered. They removed about 40% of her pancreas and of her stomach. She was being treated for diabetes, and underwent chemo as a precaution, but since the chemo is over she is no longer even a diabetic. She looks better and feels better than has in many years. At first the doctors only gave her about a 5% chance of surviving the surgery, but no chance without. All we can see is, all ours prayers were answered.

That's great news!!! The prayers are always positive, but don't give them 100% of the credit. Your mom-in-law sounds like a real fighter too. She wanted more time with her family, and didn't give up.

jcamacho, I don't think johnvilla understands English very well.

Some of you already know this, but my mother in law passed away about three months ago. She fought the good fight, and at one time thought she could put this all behind her as she was told she was cancer free. But then it came back and with a vengeance.

I am closing this thread out of respect to my mother in law Jenada.

May you rest in peace Mom.
