Default Notice to Travelers

Howdy Folks;

In light of our recent travel problem with the crotch bomber, I'd like to make folks aware of something, if you don't already realize this.

This idiot that tried to explode a bomb in his lap had a set-up that was activated with a syringe.

I suggest that if you're going to travel anywhere by air, you may want to leave any e-liquid syringes at home during your trip. A syringe may cause you unnessary delays in security, and you might loose it. I have no solid information on this, and don't carry one myself, but it seems to make sense that they will question any device that injects liquid into something.

Just an FYI.

Safe Travels;
jd

This would most certainly hinder those with a medical need, such as Diabetics. And leave them subject to interrogation, even though they may not fit the profile.
Oh yea I fogot, we must not profile. We must search Granny with her knitting basket instead.

You struck something here Royal;
You mentioned Diabetics, which reminded me of an amusing thing. I was going through LAX recently, and the woman in front of me had a bottle of water. The TSA said that she can't take it through. This woman simply said, "I'm diabetic. Can I get more water on the inside?"

The TSA agent never batted an eye, and said "OK, go ahead" She went trough with her water with no other questions asked. How easy was that?

Maybe a guy should just say, "I'm a pyromaniac. I need my explosives on the other side."
