Just wanted to say 'Hi' to everyone and hope to get to know a few people.
I only recently started vaping and ... well, I could use some help here and there.

I have a USB passthrough, a 510 and a KR8, in liquid I have tried Malboro Red 18 mg and 555 24 mg.
In the beginning it was fine and I was smoke free for 6 days.

Then the e.cig started to taste like plastic, so I had one real cigarette.
Well and that was it, I'm lost to real smokes again.

Who can help?

Not knowing what you are asking for help with, I can only touch on the basics. You did not state which of your two e-cigs tasted like plastic.

Make sure your carts are not running dry, and keep them topped off.
Also on the 510 make sure the cart is aligned with the atty bridge.
For your KR8, same thing, make sure it is full, and replace the cartomizer after two or three refills. These are disposables. If you let them run dry, the wicking material can get burnt. It is common to get a burnt taste if you vape any e-cig dry.
As soon as you start to get a harsh or slightly burnt taste, it is time to refill. Soon you will learn to refill before this starts to happen. Also the wicking material in your carts will lose the ability to absorb or release the liquid. Don't throw away your 510 carts, you can always just replace the filler yourself and save money. With the 510 manual you can also just remove the filler material from the cart and then just drip directly into the atty. Use no more than two or three drops at a time.

As for help with getting back off the analogs, you may want to try and use high nicotine level e-liquids until you feel comfortable enough with it to start reducing your nicotine levels. Most have found that after a week or so with only the e-cig, a conventional cigarette tastes and smells really foul, and is no longer appealing. This is why some of us call them stinkies.

You are being very technical Royal.
The cartomizer, is that the mouthpiece?
I wash them after two or three uses, but generally I drip.
Which reminds me, when dripping, is it necessary that there is a filling in the mouthpiece or can it be empty (free of stuffing)?

With the KR8 I can't drip, there is no room for it (I think).

My best bet is the USB, but I can't take that one with me. I can only use it on the computer.

I've only had this equipment for three weeks, so it can't be time for a replacement yet. Can it?

Falcon, your KR8 is a disposable cartomizer model. a cartomizer is an atomizer and cart combined. Also called a two piece unit.

As I stated, yes you can drip with or without the filler material on the 510 manual. Be very carefull though if you are using the auto switched batteries. With these if you drip too much, it can seep into the battery and short out the switch. The manual switched batteries are sealed so this seepage cannot occur.

No, you cannot drip with a KR8 because the cartridge and atomizer are one in the same.

You say you are using a passthrough. I don't recommend trying to use a USB passthrough connected directly to your computer, the atomizer pulls too much amperage for the average USB 2.0 port and may cause a circuit overload on your computer. Instead try using a seperate USB 2.0 hub that has it's on power supply. You can also get USB to 12 volt adaptors for use in the car and also 120 volt wall adaptors for USB passthroughs. Just check the amp ratings on them and make sure they can handle at least 2 amps or better.

Sorry If I sounded too technical. E-cigarettes are very different from conventional cigarettes. They require a learning curve for all users. Just keep with it and you will get the hang of it soon enough.
