mage, I have a few of the power packs and they are great. But to have the outlet in your house have usb power is such a great idea, not all that expensive either.

I think it would be better to not put usb plugs on these things just a 5 volt coax plug and a wall wart to go with it.Might prevent the motherboard incidents alluded to in another post.

Everybody seems to be using the USB style plugs for everything 5 volts. People just have to be educated about safe & proper use.
