Batts

I need batts for a mkII screwdriver does anyone know where to buy these other than TW.I bought some from TROG but these are for mkI and just stay stuck on without pushing the button keeping my atty hot.

The SD batt is an 18350. Totally wicked sells them, unfortunately not to Canada. Whatever you google, make sure it is protected. If you can find it the best battery to buy (protected) is the AW18350.

These are not protected.
I believe, though not certain, are the same length as a CR123, only wider.

If you try using CR123s in place of them, make sure the meaurements are correct, as I am only going by what I have read. You can possibly take up the slack from the smaller width of the CR123 by sleeving some cut card board from a TP or paper towel tube. I have done this in the past with good results.

Like Rick said, It would be best if you can find some protected 18350s

I would not think the battery would cause what you described,that sounds like a stuck or wet switch.

I lost my first 14500 yesterday. She's sitting at a solid 2.2v and won't budge.

I have 5 old EVO batteries that did the same thing. 2.4 volts on each one, and nothing will change them.

Thx,Mcquinn did notice that the batts i got from TW have flat tops and the one i got from TROG were like most other batts .I think the top piece on these are getting cought on the spring inside the screwdriver making it keep contact.Because i don't have this happen with the flat tops.I was hoping to find the batts cheaper somewhere other that TW where they are 10.00 a pop.

Sorry to hear about you batts 14500 are the ones i use in my copper have had good luck with these just changed over to protected ones.I feel better about that the ones sold with it were unprotected.

I wonder if you could put them in backwards?This would have the button end against something else.The only way this would be a problem is if you have a L.E.D.,I have never really paid much attention to the SD but I don't think it has a light.Usuallly the positive button end goes against a metal contact and the flat negative end goes against the spring.
