E juice Harsh?

As a 30 year smoker I didnt think I would find the E cig harsh but I find the tobbaco flavered ones realy harsh on the throat. I read some about steeping so I bought some and have let it sit in fridge. Is there a smoother hit out there? I never smoked menthol but some liqued that was given to me actually was very smooth. Any suggestions would be appreciated because I am almost back to smoking the same as before.

When we last talked, you said you ordered a new 501 (if memory serves me right);

If you have a new one, the atomizer will have a primer in it, which will be harsh, and to me, it tastes like tar.

If it's a new atomizer, soak it for a few hours in alochol to get rid of the primer. Blow it out good, (no compressed air) and try again. Should taste fresh. If you can't get Everclear for soaking, pick up a small bottle of 100 proof Vodka.

That e-cig you got from me has already been soaked in Everyclear. Try soaking it again if that's the one that tastes harsh. Keep expermenting with the juice flavors too.

There is techniquue to it as well.Get a mouth full of vapor then inhale ,don't try inhaling stright to the lungs.A dirty atty or carto will hit harsh.High % of VG seems to hit harsher for me.High voltage or low resistance will be harsh as well.The imported liquids like Dekang seem to me to vape a lot better.You can get Dekang liquid from MadVapes or LiteCigUSA ,very inexpensive as well as consistant.

The only time I ever get a harsh taste is when I hit an atty dry.

Thanks for the help, been off the computer for awhile. Its the new ones that are harsher. I will try the soaking method. I do try to inhale into lungs that may me doing it.
