Recommendations please

Greetings all

I'm ready to take the plunge. I've been reading the forums for several days and each time I think I've figured out what to buy, I find another thread that takes me back to square one. Confusing stuff! So, recommendations please! Here's what I've identified as the most important things I'm looking for:

-long battery life (all day if possible)
-lotsa vapor/good throat hit
-a flavor as close to Marlboro as possible
-ability to charge more than one battery at a time

Shipping to my location can be slow so, in addition to a kit, what will I need to make sure I don't run out of anything for at least a month at a time?

I'm considering the Screwdriver. Good choice?

An Ego would give you the best battery life and ease of use.It also allows you lots of options with standard and low resistance atties or cartomisers.You can also use Joye 306 stuff without adapters.A Screwdriver would also be good.As far as liquid you will not find any that taste like a cigerette ,you should be able to find something that you like and look forward to,I prefer Dekang liquids from Electrnicstix,LitecigUSA ,Madvapes or VaporTalk .USA Red ,CML,Desert Ship are what I use.For a treat VaporTalk SweetDawn tastes like green apple Jolly Ranchers.I use 20 to 30 ml a week and I vape pretty steady.I use a cartomiser for 3 to 5 days or an atomiser for about a month.You can't go wrong with plenty of evrything until you figure out your actual useage.It really blows to be waiting on a shipment .

Well, since 100% of the recommendations were for the Ego...LOL...then the Ego it is. What are your thoughts on the Ego-T? Is the Wicked Tornado-Tank the same product? Are there suppliers that you recommend over the others that are better stocked or have better customer service?

I have not tried a tank.A lot of people seem to like them.I get all I need for as much as I care to spend using Boge 510 cartomisers and 510,306 and 901 atomisers. I am very slow to adapt new tchnology.I have to see for sure if something will improve the quality of my life in a cost effective way.I have only had a cell phone for five months and it is a Trac Fone.I still have 50 of the 180 minutes I started with and they are good for another month.I have been treated well by ElectroNicstix,VaporTalk,Awesome Vapor and LitecigUSA.

A Screwdriver would be an excellent choice - I've found them very reliable and long-lasting, and also versatile. I'm recommend a Mk1 Screwdriver from trog over a Mk2 (build quality and "feel").

Totally Wicked will be selling adapters for SDs (will work with Mk1 and Mk2) to work with tanks sometime in the next week or so.

Just keep in mind, that since you are in the U.S. Virgin Islands, If you decide to order from Trog, it will be an overseas shipment and subject to customs.
I have and use a Mark II Screwdriver from TW-USA, and I find no fault with them. It is over a year old now and it still works like new.


The e-Go is a good device but the batteries are model specific. With a Screwdriver, the batteries are common.



E-go Tanks; They are a novel idea, but I personally found problems with mine not siphoning the juice all the time. When this happens, the vapor will be hot and unpleasant. I found that by taking the tank off and then blowing in to the atty the siphon will resume, but this gets very annoying for me, and until a design improvement has been released, I have given up on the Tanks. Do not fill these tanks all the way, only fill about 3/4 full for best siphoning results.

You may want to give some 510 cartos a try on your e-Go. You can even use the Low resistant cartos on it, which I never thought I would, but I am finding very much to my liking.

The e-Go will most likely come with a USB rapid charger, you can only charge one battery at a time unless you order an extra charger. Common Li-Ion batteries like those used in Screwdrivers universal Li-Ion chargers can be used. Most of these types of chargers are capable of charging two batteries at the same time and do not have to even be of the same size. The MkII SD comes with a single battery charger and compared to other chargers, it is a slow charger.

e-Gos are e-Gos, Some companies like TW just pay extra to have them branded.

Thanks Royal! Now ya tell me! LOL I put in an order for the Ego-T Mega starter kit with LiteCigUSA today. Hopefully I'll like it. If not, the Screwdriver will be my next one.

Priority Mail shipping to the US Virgin Islands costs the same as anywhere else and no Customs forms are required but many shopping carts are configured incorrectly. Several emails to LiteCigUSA could not get the $30 international shipping charge to go away. They finally just promised to refund the shipping charge to my credit card after they send everything. That works for this order but it'll be a pain in the butt if I continue to order from them.

Thanks for all of the tips and tricks! I can't wait to recieve it and get started. I'll let you know what I think of it.

In regards to the e-Go T, you can still use 510 atties on it. and also the 510 cartos. Not sure if your kit comes with a standard cone as the megas all are built in to the cone. But nonetheless, you could still get a standard cone for just a few bucks. They are not needed to make it work, just dresses it up a bit and also may creat a little resistance, which will make your vapor a little richer.

You should like it. The cart/tanks will eventually wear out, which will cause the hole to be oversized and allow the liquid to seep out and start to flood the atty, when that happens just slap a new tank on it. I usually got two to three weeks use out of a tank before I noticed this happening. Mileage may vary, depends on use.

Greetings all

Just got it today and thought I'd share my first impressions and ask a few more questions.

I ended up getting the Ego Mega. It has a nice look and feel. I bought 4 flavors of eliquid and I've tried 3 of them. Not bad. Not great. I can taste the individual flavors but underneath each flavor is the same not so nice taste. What am I tasting? Does the base (VP/PG?) have a taste to it? Am I tasting nicotine? Is there anything that will mask that taste?

Will the tank atomizers and tank cartridges work with the Mega battery?

I'm craving a cigarette..LOL...but I'm not giving in yet!

Royal, I saw that Totally Wicked sells a bag of end caps (cheap) that you can replace when the hole on the tank starts to leak. They're probably cheaper than replacing the tank.

Atties have some liquid in them to prime them ,sometimes it has been in there for quite some time and gets funky.That is probably what you are tasting.It should clear up in a bit.You can try blowing it out into a kleenex.
