Troubleshooting help; no vapor

Hi all! I'm new to vaping, and having some trouble. I just bought a Vapor King (automatic.. not manual) from Electronic Cigarettes Inc. From the model guide in this forum I believe it's a 510?

My problem is that it doesn't seem to be producing any vapor. The battery is fully charged, and it lights up, but no vapor. I've tried two cartridges now, with no luck on either. I can hit it hard or soft, and nothing.. no visible vapor, no throat hit, nothing.

Am I doing something wrong, or did I maybe just get a bad atomizer?

Which one did you get? Is their any liquid in the carts?

Hi,jjarmoc welcome to esf sounds like a bad atomizer do you have a extra?

Try another atomizer,that appears to be the problem.

If it has never worked it could be a bad atty,if it has worked and just stopped it could be flooded,blow throuh it from the battery end into a tissue .If too much liquid is in there it cannot get hot enough to make vapor.Here is a link to ESF's fine reference library on trouble shooting ESF Troubleshooting Guide - Revision 8.pdf

Thanks for the pointers all. I checked the cartridges and the filter material is damp, but not exactly soaking/dripping wet. I think they're likely okay, just a little less moist than I expected.

I'm pretty sure it's the atomizer, I don't feel any warmth from the body when it's activated. I did some digging, and found that there's an online retailer who happens to be located close to my house; I'm picking up two spare atomizers there tonight, and I'll let you all know how it goes. The company I bought from has so far been unresponsive to my emails, and I also see after poking around looking at other sites that their prices are pretty high. Live and learn, won't likely do business with them again.

Sadly, I had to break down and buy (hopefully my last) pack of analogs yesterday afternoon. I'm really anxious to get started vaping!

Don't worry about the cigs bro. I smoked a carton (half my normal consumption) when I started, until I got the 510. Haven't touched one since, and yeah, many of us probably paid too much for their startup kit. Call it college tuition.

just thought I'd close the loop on this.

Replaced the atty and I'm good! Contacted the sellers who are non responsive.. so it seems they're overpriced, and don't reply when you get a dud. Ohh well, live and learn!

Nice to hear that you're up and running again. Try downloading the troubleshooting guide from the Reference Library. There's information there on how to check your attys with a multimeter. I ordered my attys in bulk, and checked them all before I put them away.
