Talking My New Joye 510

Just took the first of 4 batt's I got off the charger (fully charged it for an hour), and loaded up my first cart with 24mg Banana Cream Pie Rath juice.

Went through the set-up process of blowing out the primer from the atty, dripped 2 drops of juice on the atty, and filled up the cart.

Took my first few drags ever from an e-cig, and....

I like it. ^_^ The flavor seems a little weak, but that's what I read it is like when you first start/stop from the analogs (I was smoking about a pack-a-day Marlboro Reds.

I haven't opened up my Rath 24mg Mocha Mint Coffee yet, but will do so one my other batt gets finished with it's initial charge. I was just too excited to get it up and start testing it out to wait for two batteries to charge. lol

Hmm, this is pretty different from an analog. I've never been able to blow smoke out of my nose, but I can do it with the vapor, since it's so much smoother. ^_^

Is there something wrong with me that now, within an hour of just trying my first e-cig, I already want to order a bunch of different juices and try them all? lol

Nope....... nothing wrong with you at all !!

Just wait till the addiction bites that makes you want to order all kinds of expensive mods for simple WANT...

I want to ask you... did your kit come with charging instructions regarding your initial charge ??

Unless things have changed with the Joye510 batts right out of the box (meaning, that the seller has precharged them for you), I've always followed the instructions which stated to "initial" charge them for 6-8 hrs regardless of l.e.d. indicators on the charger.

This has always worked well for me with not having any battery "short life" issues.

Just thought I'd mention it if you were unaware of the norm.

VapeOn,
Greg

I've read everything from an initial of 1 hour, 4 hours, and 8 hours. 8 hours just seemed maybe too long to me, since the instructions say the regular batts charge in about an hour on a standard recharge. Since you mention it, maybe I'll leave this battery on there for about 8 hours.

With the first battery...there's no way I could have ever waited 8 hours. lol If this means I'll need to replace this batt quicker, okay. It was worth it to cheat, since I've been waiting since Thursday to try this stuff out. lol ^_^;;;

I felt like a kid waiting for Santa...with every noise I heard outside, I looked out my window to see if it was the post office yet. lol

I would follow the suppliers manual for recommendations, as only they would know if its precharged or not.

I don't have any facts to point you to, but the general gist of what I have come to understand from more knowledgeable than I was more the concern of allowing a L-Ion battery to drain excessively or rapidly (when not protected cells), and is risking from what people have perceived as anywhere from a burn out, to a flame out, to an explosion.

Hopefully our resident "fact finder" and overall "knowledge Guru" Jim will show up and teach us all a thing or two on the subject.

I'm not trying to alarm you in any way, but with this type of battery it would be wise to follow what the manufacturer or supplier recommends.

Ohhh Mr. Davis ??!! Where art thou ??

Hehhh... that feeling never seems to dwindle, lol.... I'm on a country box, and I'm sure my mailperson thinks I'm a kook as I always seem to be eagle eying for them when they come down the dirt road. Heck, every time I see a dust cloud when I'm expecting a delivery it gives me that childhood rush of Christmas morning, lol

I've never purchased anything online before getting into this, and I find it can be quite an addictive opportunity to have "spending powers" at your fingertips !

VapeOn,
Greg

lol Yup, when it comes to buying things online, it's kinda like you get double joy. First, when you are excited when you buy something. And again, days or weeks later, when it arrives at your door.

This is especially true to me, because I buy many collectibles from China, Japan, and Europe. Sometimes with Ebay I may end up waiting almost 2 months to receive an item (stupid customs)...But, when I get it I'm as happy as when I first got my deal on it. ^_^

I was showing off my new e-cig to everyone at work. lol A co-worker of mine said the smoke smells like the stage machines that make "fog" only a little sweeter. (It was the Banana Cream Pie Rath juice.) Even one of my bosses was amazed (he smokes), and just said it was a shed and truck proof cigarette. lol Obviously at Disney it's against the rules to smoke in our sheds or company trucks, but he gave me the "okay" with my 510 since it can't burn any seats or smell up the trucks. lol

Louis;
It's great that your boss gave you the OK to use your E-cig, but a word of advice. I suggest to keep it out of sight as much as possible. It only takes one person to complain that you were smoking and your boss will have no choice but to cancel his permission to keep the peace.

As far as the battery issue goes, get some more. You'll vape em dead before they can fully charge. I would say to have 4 or 5. I'm using heavy duty battery mods, and I carry 4 batteries with me. I always leave mine on the charger for 8 hours, and no problems yet. Here's some good battery information.

It won't hurt to use a battery if you don't fully charge it,it just won't last as long until it needs recharged .As far as the stage fog machine it is because they use PG same as PV's just don't have the flavoring in it and comes in larger container.
