Sounds interesting, but I found my groove. I'm quite happy with my 3.7v portable units, and my 5v passthroughs. As I see the whole situation, people are going further and further with no end in sight. I found what I like, and I'm stocking heavily. I'm at the point where vaping is enjoyable, and I'm not looking to change it.

It's really a funny situation. I see newb's trying to modify their e-cigs right out of the box. I offer my opinion occasionaly, which is usually ignored when other newb's start saying "do this, & do that". I just sit back, smile, and blow a big wad of vapor.

I'm always here to offer help with the proven methods, but if anyone wants to go bigger & faster, it's their nickel.

Jim - I think there is a problem now regarding the advice given to noobs (and wannabees). "Some" forums are so large that advice from experienced and/or sensible people is drowned out by a stream of "buy a BG745 - they rock!" and "buy something from Freddiecigs he's wonderful". So often response actually ignore what the OP has actually said about their wants/preferences and just boil down to "buy what I've got from who I bought it from".

Yup. That's exactly what's going on. It used to bother me, but I've mellowed out lately.

I look into my crystal ball to the future, and see someone getting hurt from doing something dumb with their e-ci. The anti's will get fired up, and use it to their advantage. It's bound to happen sooner or later. It's getting very difficult to keep folks on a practical level with these things. Only time will tell.

It amuses me ,I wonder why they don't just go 110 volt it would be so much easier.But I guess they need a new product every six months for these people to get excited over.I only put that up because of the eternal atty's which I guess just have a higher resistance so the heat and vape would be the same as what we get now.And I thought it was clever about the battery change design.

Well I have noticed quite a change in the industry, over the last year and a half. Battery holders for atty's are about the only thing thats changed a lot over that same time frame.

If you give these things much thought there is really not a lot you can do to them.The goal is to have enough liquid for an hour or two ,have low power consumption so the batteries are not something you have wheel around on a hand truck.And they have to have just the right compromise between not very expensive and long lasting.The liquid has to be heated to a predetermined temperature to turn into a vapor so given the battery limitations your element is kind of predetermined there are not a lot of ways to get the required temperature at the given voltage.About the only thing that can be messed with easily is the battery and even those choices seem to have been fairly well exploited.
