What is the best ecig?

I just heard about these things and have searching the internet. There seems to be a bunch of different types. Are they all pretty much the same?

Yes there are lots of different models. It all depends on what you needs are. Penstyles have larger carts and don't require refilling quite as often.
Minis such as the 901s are real popular. The 510 manuals are almost fool proof as they have manual switches on the batteries which are not as prone to shorting out by leakage. The 510 is one of my favorites, though the batteries do run down fast. It gives good throat hit and lots of vapor for it's size. Though this forum is new, some of the guys have already posted some information on somemodels in the reviews section.

How long do the cartridges last on a 510 and how many does it come with? Like I said I am totally new to this.

Most advertisments on these things are misleading. They do not last as long as one is lead to believe. Usually you should be able to get two to three cigarettes worth out of a 510 cartridge. But don't buy the ones already filled. Just order some blanks and get yourself some e-liquid. Refill them yourself. Most retailers also sell the juice. Depends on what you are used to smoking, you may want to start out with a mid range nic level and then adjust from there. the nicotine levels range from zero nicotine to 36 mg/ml. 18 mg would be mid range in most instance. e-liquids come in many different flavors. You won't find that e-smoking taste like smoking at all. I try to look for flavors that I can do all the time.

Yea I'm going to order a 510 later today when my check hits the bank, the larger cart will be nice, and I've been dying for a manual switch PV since i made a passthrough with a manual switch.. Once you use a PV with a manual switch there's really no turning back, the extra control is nice

The thing I like most about the 510s is that the vapor comes across as dry, which more resembles the taste of a real cigarette to me. The flavor may be slightly enhanced with a 901, at least others have reported this as so. It may just be my pallet, flavor wise they seem the same to me.

yea i think the change in the feel of the vapor would be great.. ,my 401 has almost no taste between liquids, the vapor is not very thick at all , although it does give a nice throat hit, but my 901 rules over my 401 so i'm excited to try my 510 when it comes in
