And they are cheap. $8/ battery with a cart. It's either a 808 or 901 format. I can't tell and they didn't have an open one for me. The prefilled carts are a little expensive (ink jet printer and cartridge razor marketing mentality) at $15 for 4. But I'm already at the stage where I buy my own carts and e-liquids so all I'm looking at is the batteries.
Yes, e-cigs starting showing up in Walmarts and Walmart online about a year ago. Walmart Selling E-Cigs
Putting them out in places like Walmart and even Convenience stores is a way to get them introduced to the main stream of society.
I even hear and see Radio and TV commercials for them, but it is sad that the commercials I hear and see are scams/ripoffs. You know the ones that say "Call right now and we will send it to you absolutely free, all you have to do is pay the shipping." Then before you know it, they are sending and billing you astronomical prices for a handful of prefilled carts. It would be so much easier for folks who are interested in trying an e-cig, to just pick up a cheap disposable unit.

The are with the cigarettes in the cigarette checkout isle. The brand is Mistic and if you go to their website, you can search for the closest retailer. Wal Mart is cheaper than the website already. Everything is a great deal except for the cartomizers ($15 for 5 boooo!) and the chargers not bought in a kit. Like all of these kinds of things, I don't like their juice and prefer to refill it with my own.
It's a quality setup if someone is looking for something that looks like an analog.
One good thing that will come out of this is retailers will stop gouging consumers and charging $80 for a starter kit that Wal Mart sells for $24 (2 batteries, USB charger, mains charger, 3 carts). This happens to all new technology, it enters the main stream - usually when Wal Mart starts carrying it - like those 42" HDTVs for the once great price of $500.
According to their website, the only places anywhere near me that have them are Truck stops, specifically Pilots and TA. Not going there, they have always been known for charging high prices for e-cigs.
Only problem I see with this Mistic branded e-cig is that they are cigarette/analog lookalikes. I myself want nothing that looks or resembles an analog, I stay as far away from analogs as I can. Not to mention the fact that e-cigs that look like analogs make it too easy for the antis to cry foul, especially when they also have a red or orange LED which it appears these do.

The way these things will penetrate the mass is if they look like analogs. I haven't made the step to mods and high voltage setups with battery boxes. I've only been doing this for 3 or so months. I did get an 808D-1 (not the same as the Wal Mart Mistics) that have a blue light on them. Antis will always cry foul, but I for one can tell I'm getting over the damage that analogs were doing to me. Smoked for 28 years. Quit 3 times for over 6 months at a time and what my body was doing while I wasn't smoking, my body is doing again while on e-cigs. They look like analogs, but I sure don't treat them like analogs. Instead of having to go outside every 2 hours, I'm doing it every five minutes inside in my office or my home. Wal Mart means penentration into the masses - and lower overall prices. For better or worse, they are going into the spotlight and before we know it, more regulation. I hope the government doesn't go tax crazy on these things or that non-tobacco flavors get banned. If Big Tobacco notices their revenue getting hit by these things, we can expect more regulation. Hey, Kodak missed the digital photography boat and are not doing well. The Record Industry tried to battle digital media with protection and now there are no such thing as big massive record stores anymore. Wal Mart still sells CDs and digital cameras and now its electronic cigarettes.
I fell for that 'free' starter kit -- TWICE. What ROYAL said is right on the money. If your thinking of starting with E-cigs (DO IT), Buy from a reputable(sp) dealer either locally or online.......VAP ON
At a Christmas get-together, I was puffing on my 510 E-cig. An in-law member saw the red light and hollered "Oh sh-t, now my clothes are going to stink." Her husband (who knew about E-cigs) stepped in and set her straight. The uninformed will always be there....VAP ON
The government taxes have hit tobacco, and alchohol pretty hard. Vice tax. Nicotene is a drug, how will they look at it? .....Caffiene is a drug too.
I saw something about a petition to the USDA, I'll see if I can locate it...VAP ON
Petition to Obama, I found the site. It's a real mouthful. It's not a click on. I just cut and pasted it into Google. It worked. It seemed to me that it had allready been submitted, I couldn't find how to sign, and there is an expected reply to the petition from the FDA.
