Question LR Atty choices for 280mah??

What are my options? I seem to see only LR attys for 450mah and higher. I have a titan mega 510 which is a 3.7v system with a 280mah battery. Thanks in advance

Well. I did some looking around and it sounds as if the 280 mah batteries don't last well with LR attys.

Guess my best bet is maybe to consider looking for another device...?

Low resistance atties and cartos will draw too much current for the small batteries. The Ego batteries use the 510 atties and cartos as well as the Ego Mega atties so Ego type batteries and charger or you could get a mod type with a 510 connecter on it and batteries and charger to fit.The least expensive option is to get a passthrough without the battery and you could get the low resistance effect from a standard resistance attie /carto at 5 volts.I personaly don't care for the scorched taste from higher voltage and I tend to stay with under 4 volts stuff. But a lot of people like the higher voltage I guess that burning sensation is what they call throat hit?

Yeah. I really don't like that burning taste either.

I may just sit on my wallet at the moment, enjoy this package and keep getting juice for now. This one seems to be working well. Maybe, figuring out what I may need to do to drip at home might help.

I did look at the tw tornado-t tank. I do have an eye on that.

I like the concept behind the e-Go tank. I have a hunch Joyetech took this idea from a cart mod that was conceived about a year ago.

I am not a fan of the 510 LR attys. For me, they tend to throw the taste off.
For a long time I only used 5 volts with standard 510 atomizers and an occasional penstyle. With true 5 volts I never experienced a burnt taste. In fact, I found that the flavor was enhanced along with the vapor production.
It seems that somewhere between 4.7 and 5 volts is the sweet spot for Joye 510s. When I experimented with 6 volts, I found the vapor to be too warm for my liking, and it was asking too much of my attys and would burn them out prematurely.
When running high voltage, dripping is probably best as in most cases a cart cannot wick fast enough to keep up under the same frequency of use it is able to do under normal voltage, if it runs dry, you will get a burnt taste.

Chimchimm, you will find increased performance out of any 3.7 volt big battery mod or e-Go. The standard sized batteries such as your 280mah mega 510 battery does not output a true 3.7 volts under load. It will measure 3.7 without a load, but once a load is applied the FET switch becomes lossy. This is the reason that for a long time I used only 5 volt mods. But after playing around with 3.7 volt big battery mods, I found the performance to be very satisfying, and much more so than I ever did with standard Joye batteries.

As for Passthroughs, a true 5 volt passthrough will require a power supply that is capable of handling the extra current. Do not attempt to use a 5 volt passthrough on your computers USB 2.0 port as these ports only output 500 milliamps.

The Thanks button is only used in some forums, and then only for the OP of the thread.
If a forum has this option, the "Thank You" button may be found on the bottom right hand side of the users post.
This option is reserved only for such listings as mods, recipes, reviews, etc.
For discussions such as in this forum, should one be inclined to offer, a simple Thanks in a post is sufficient.
