Fiber in cart/what am I doing wrong?

Hi all.

I just got my 1st PV 4 days ago.

An aside--Been vaping(relatively heavily and enjoying it thoroughly) now for 4 days on a 510 and love vaping. Tried an analog during my vaping session last night and it tasted like dirt, literally. This is good.

My small issue is the following:
I've been using 2 carts pretty frequently and am now finding that when I remove the cart, the fiber stays in the atty. I check because the taste and vape is wrong.

Am I not recessing the fiber in the cart far enough or what? thanks for all your help.

Sometimes I think if you let it get a little on the dry side it melts to the bridge.No harm ,make sure to top off regularly.The fiberfill thing is kind of tricky when you go to replace it with Fluval or Blue Foam,too much and it won't work well or too little and it won't do right either .You just have to kind of play with it.The least amount and still get good contact with the bridge is best.

Dumb it down for me, sir. Bridge=what extends out of the atomizer?
Also, what is Fluval or Blue Foam?

Sorry, the bridge is the mesh looking thing inside the atty that keeps the fiberfill from touching the element and it also wicks the liquid from the fiberfill to the vicinity of the element.It can get too hot if you vape one dry and the fiber will melt to it.Blue Foam and Fluval are fish tank filter pads you get from pet store to replace the filler when it starts to get shabby and breaking down.You can cut a lot of replacement fillers from a small box of filters.Not sure why we don't just buy more carts as they are not very expensive but I guess being frugal is a common attribute for a vaper.

That fluval sounds alot easier than the Tbag trick. Wonder if they sell it at Walmart.

So, it seems the TW MEGA 510 was a good place to start.

I'm still trying to figure out what the crusty granular stuff in one of my attys is. I think its a combination of burned filter fiber and a sweet rich TW Virginia Gold. Probably more the burned fiber thing. I noticed it this morning when I went to grab it to head to work. Made the cart pretty difficult to remove. I had to wipe most of it away in order to re-insert the cart.

Denture tabs is the way to go to clean attys, eh? What are you intervals/signs of impending cleaning needed?

I clean mine when they just don't tase as good as they did or if they get hard to draw thru.Not sure bout the crusty granular stuff ,never had that.With any liquid not all of it can be turned to vapor and what is left is what builds up in the atty /carto to degrade the performance.Most pet stores / departments have filter media .The Fluval media I got was Art.#A-242 in the front lower left corner of the box and 104/105 204/205 in the left front corner.

I ordered more carts but the fluval sounds inevitable anyway.

5 days into vaping and I already have 15 refillable carts (10 w/ kit and 5 on the way). 18mg menthol w/ Turkish blend sample, USA's Favorite 18mg w/ Tobacco sample also on the way from Awesome Vapor's stash.

However, I've got to find lower nic level suppliers. 11mg or lower, I think. 18mg feed the ole nic addiction a little too much considering I've been vaping more than I smoked. With vaping I find myself firing for effect and if I'm going to have that frequent an intake, it may as well at a lower level of nic.

I noticed you 0 mg nic vape and use lower level nics. Can you point me in a suppliers direction where I can find under 14mg nic juice?

I get 6mg or 0.6% as they are calling it nowadays from ElectroNicStix,0 mg is a little harder to find but I get that from Awesome Vapor ,they give you a free 3ml sample bottle of 18mg liquid of your choice when you buy a 16 ml bottle of any liquid ,so if you get 0 nic and a free sample of the same flavor @ 18mg you can add a little to your cart if you need it or just vape the no nic.Most suppliers sell low in the 6 to 10 mg range.

Why not just cut the juice with VG. That's what I do. I was buying 36mg juice and cutting it 50 / 50 to get 18mg. Now I buy 100mg and cut it 6 to 1. It's a lot cheaper that way.

The way I mix it now is 1 part 100mg / 1 part menthol / 5 parts VG. Good strong menthol, and it fogs like crazy.

I haven't found any liquids with enough flavor to cut with VG.Got some AVE juice ,not too impressed so far ,Flu Cured tasted like straight VG no flavor except when it gets that chemical flavor when you get VG too hot,Bobas Bounty tastes like the marshmallows in Lucky Charms kinda vitamin pill tasting,Gorilla juice best so far bannana taffy.Five more flavors to try hope it gets better.
