Attention all smart phone users, ESF is now optimized for viewing with some of the most popular smart phones. It utilizes a phone app called tapatalk.
Here is a little information about tapatalk so you can see for yourself how it works.

Tapatalk is a mobile forum app for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Nokia. Tapatalk supports all the usual forum functions plus full screen image viewing, image upload, caching (less reload), private messaging, all these features are accessible in just a few simple taps.

If you are a smartphone user and haven't upgraded Tapatalk in your smartphone for awhile, you may want to check and see if an update is available.

I finally got a Trac phone for use on the road,at my rate of accepting new technology it will be ten more years before I adopt a smart phone.I suppose if I didn't need my landline for DSL I would have a nicer one .I average less than a minute a day.

The cost of these smart phones is not worth it to me. I don't like paying $70 monthly fees.

I have a Optimus M android 2.2, but I dont want to pay $3 for the app, and I dont want to put my CC info on my phone. If it were free I would love to have it. I have MetroPCS and it asks for CC info when purchasing an app. Also, their smartphone plan is only $56 for unlimited everything (the 3g plan not the 4g plan), and they just went nation wide. I know that does'nt help the people who travel, but if you stay inside the mainland it's the cheapest android plan out there. Granted the phone prices are a little on the high side (I paid $260 for my phone) and they dont offer yearly upgrades. Otherwise, I cant complain about service or LG's product.

There used to be a free version of tapatalk, probably still is, but with it you can only read.
It all depends on how you use your smartphone, and whether or not you want to visit forums with it.
There are thousands of forums that are now tapatalk compliant. You would be surprised at how many are reading ESF with tapatalk. Most are iPhone users, but that is just because iPhone has the biggest share of the market.
$3 is nothing. These app Devs spend a lot of time developing and perfecting their products. If it is something you want, then they deserve to make a couple of bucks off their hard work.
For me, and many others just like me, I would rather carry a loaded smartphone than to lug around a laptop everywhere I go. It just frees me up to be able to do what I want, when I want. And doesn't keep tied down to a desk.
