New to ecigs and confused

So I have been doing some research about the different models and companies available.

Is there a place I can get a comparison kr808d1, 510 and others.

What I thought I wanted is a simple two piece using the cartomizer, but I see a lot of posts on here that seem to be describing the three pieces with atomizer. So I am confused as to which is the better technology.

Also everywhere I go seems to be talking about different brands for the starter kits. Just when I think I have it figured out, I find a new site that mentions new brands. I heard that V2cigs were good. I looked at the Joy website, but didn't see any pricing. I figure I'll tackle the flavor issue once I have a delivery method figured out.

Is there an industry leader yet for quality of devices and variety of options?

Three peice is good if you are a dripper.Not much good on the road.Carto's (two peice) have pretty much become the standard for long time between refills.Perhaps someone will perfect the juicebox type and the price will come down to where they might be the standard some day.Don't overthink it.The basic function of all PV's is to vaporise the liquid and deliver the nicotine and flavor.They all perform this function adequately.It is like anything else there are fads and each person has a favorite.Usually what they have invested a ton of money in.

being new to ecigs myself..just a bit more then a month..I agree it is all very confusing..I cant tell you about all the brands..but i think mostly it seems preference,Myself I bought the joye 510 as it seems to be highly spoke about and also I noticed the parts for it were among many places..I have to say im pleased with it,the mega batteries were a nice addition..just gives you 2 hours vs the standard one hour battery..so a mega starter kit might be nice for you.
a mega kit runs approx 50$ a standard kit about 45
as far as atomizers and cartomizers go..I have both and tried them..I like the cartomizers as you have to fill them less often..But it seems the flavor is a little stronger with the atomizer..I think the hard part is finding a juice you like

Thanks for the advice, I will press on in my search and update the forum when I have purchased a device. I plan on going for the best price point and package.

To be honest, I only want the device for the physical act (hand to mouth) and of course vaping/throat hit, not the nicotine. So I plan on using the lower nicotine cartridges. Flavor, I am on the fence about, I know I don't want sweet or dessert like, so the tobacco may be my choice.

We will see.

Asking the question, "What is the best e-cig", is like asking, "What is the best car". If you ask 50 people, you'll most likely get 50 different answers.

All I can say is,the 510 is the most popular at this time.

If you decide on a 510 device (I only use authentic Joye atties) you might as well pop for the new breed of large, sleek battery types. The eGo, Tornado, Riva, and some are happy with the new VGOs'. They are competitively priced now and the batts, for many, last 5-8 hours.

Hello 016 also makes a nice long lasting 1300mA battery with 510 threads also.
