What is this warning for?

Hi, while reading up on the e-cig i came across the warning about who shouldn't use the e-cig, it was children, breast feeding women etc and there was also a warning for people taking meds for depression, i have been searching without much success about what the danger could be. Does anyone know why this warning is included and what possible dangers that can arise from taking the meds and using the e-cigs?
The only thing i have come across mentions MAOS but not SSRI's, which i am more concerned about.

I would suggest that anyone who may be concerned, should consult a physician.
I am not a doctor, but I do know that there are many medications that state you should not smoke while taking. I have also seen prescriptions that state you should not drink alcohol while taking, such as pain meds. The old saying that you can't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics is not true, but that is another story.

It is my belief that nicotine in of itself acts as an antidepressant. I think the correct term is called MAOIs, (monoamine oxidase inhibitors). So I would surmise that if you smoke or vape while taking certain types of antidepressants, you could be increasing the effects of the antidepressant to an unsafe level.

If you are ever concerned about what you are taking, you should consult your physician, or at least ask you pharmacists. All prescribed drugs come with an information sheet, not sure of the proper name for it. But on this sheet it will include any possible side effects, and list of other drugs that should not be taken while using it.

That is true nicotine does affect certain psychiatric medications .If you ever over do the nic you get all jittery and wired I suppose that would multiply an antidepressant and make you psychotic.

With all the frivolous law suits these days, it is a wonder you don't see a warning in public restrooms. "Warning drowning could occur if you submerge your head in the toilet."

I miss the old days and my local Pharmacist. He was the man to ask about almost any drug. Here was a guy in the front lines, not someone reading off some salesman's pamphlet.

Todays Pharmacist's seem like only pill counters to me. I have no trust in them.
