Verizon/Frontier ISP

Well big brother is messing with me.I noticed since Verizon changed to Frontier I could not access WetYourStick's wesite.I tried different browsers and shutting off firewalls and antivirus.Finally called Frontier tech support and found they were blocking the site for some undisclosed reason.I may have to consider changing to cell phones and dropping landline satellite tv and DSL and get cable.Boy that would suck as I really hate cable companies.I need a really fast connection to VPN and run my building controls.

I can understand it if it were your company blocking certain websites. After all they are not paying us to surf the internet for our own pleasure. But for an ISP to block anything is not ethical, unless the site is infected or known to harbor malware.
I have never liked Verizon, used to have them for landline service, but dropped them years ago.

Mike, if they are blocking any website, I would drop them like a bad habit.
There are many reviews for ISPs, DSL reports for one, you might bring this question up to them. All Forums - dslreports.com

In my area I only have three choices for high speed and Hughes satelite is not fast enough to run my building controls,that leaves Verizon or Comcast.I think its a guff you can look at porn all day but cannot go buy something to help keep you off cigerettes.I suppose it is possible Matt is feuding with them over something else ,but I suspect it has something to do with FDA.The funny part is my workplace does run a program called Websense that blocks most internet sites I can't even go to Sears and get price for the refrigerators that I fix for them but I can go to Wetyourstick there. Guess I will just have to place my order from work until they catch on.

Go with comcast then, It has been my experience that cable modem beats DSL.
Satellite internet is not good. They limit your bandwidth. You pay for it but if you use it, they throttle you back to dialup speed. Things may have changed, but I doubt it.

We had Comcast and everything was good. My wife switched us to AT&T for the idea if watching her recorded movies on any TV. AT&T has been alright so far. No limitations yet.
