Billy, Thanks! If I get this right thegreen light on the charger will come on when the bat is fully charged... and the bat will no longer be charging. So... it will not overcharge.

I also have have some 401 knockoffs (health-e-cigaretts) and they may not have the same function. The green light when those are charging has never come on... even after an all nite 8 hr. charge. They seam to work fine after the all night charge and are not hot but hey... who knows about these things.&^$#@

Papa;

I used to have quite a few 410's. When using the USB chargers, the LED would come on steady, and go out when the battery was fully charged.

My m401's make the charger flash red to green when, I think?, they are fully charged.

I had the little USB stubby chargers with no LED's. The LED on the battery was the indicator.

Jim, the LED on my m401's only blinks when just put on tha charger. I think each batt must have a diff way of thinking.

I still see warnings not to leave a batt unattended while charging. That might be just to cover their a&% though?

Never a good idea, protection circuits could fail. Also make it a practice to place your chargers on something that can't catch on fire, and keep other flammables away. Best to be safe than sorry. Look at what they are putting in to analogs these days, to make them go out quickly. All because a few idiots fells asleep with a lit cigarette and burned their house down. Just waiting for someone to burn their house down because an e-cig battery blew up.

I heard Robert had his battery mod, appropriately called the "Detonator" blow up on him while in his pants pocket. He was using unprotected CR2s, and got a real nasty burn on his leg. Lucky that is all that got burned. I wonder where he was when that happened and if he had to strip in public.

I expected that to happen sooner or later. Robert was aware of the potential problem, but ignored it, and continued. It's just a bit odd to hear that the beast attacked its creator.

Now I am back to getting one of those 401 PCC smart chargers with a batt of it's own. The are not expensive and will also charge a few batts when your not near a plug. I am usually not far from a plug though. It seams like a good extra safety measure.

OK... I just ordered a smart charger for my noob m401s. 23 bucks (free shipping).

What made me decide that they ARE smart is that they are now making them for 510's and many other models. Folks that make this e-cig stuff are smart, and if they think folks who have their stuff need a smart charger, then it might be smart?

Am I smart.... naaaa! Maybe they will make a smart charger for people someday???
Joe

Never say never yall! :~)

So chargers do that when they are on "trickle charge" towards the end of the charge cycle. MY AG-126 is like that
