Default e-Cigarette battery stays on.

A common problem with e-Cigarettes that have automatic switches is a sticking or malfunctioning switch. These types of automatic switches are popular because they emulate a real cigarette and are turned on by the vacuum created when the user takes a draw. This is done by a hole in the middle of the atomizer and battery connectors that allow a vacuum to be created on the switch. This design though a sound concept, is flawed by the inevitable leakage of e-liquid into the battery compartment causing the switch to stick or short out.
To avoid any problems and increase the life of these types of e-cigarette batteries. I recommend that you do not drip directly on the atomizer and always use a cartridge all the while being careful not to over fill the carts. Also it is a good idea to always remove your atomizer from the battery every night or when not in use and allow it to drain.
If a battery is found to be staying on, disconnect the atomizer as soon as possible. You can try lightly tapping the battery LED end on a table or hard surface, or you can try blowing by mouth through the connector end. Do not use compressed air as this will damage the switch. Inspect the connector for any fluid and clean it with a Q-tip or tissue. Stand the battery (connector end down) on a paper towel and allow to drain over night.

I also found another possible "aid" in this situation, too. Do everything you said and then turn the abttery connector side down intoa shot glass of rice. The rice will pull away the moisture, as well.

Hope this helps - mamacat

Worked like a charm for me when I used to over fill my carts!

We don't use autoswitch batteries much anymore. Our favs are now 510 manuals, but we do occasionally fall back on our beloved 901s. The worst ones I had with flooding was with penstyles, 801 in particular. I killed a bunch of batteries before I learned better.
I use a prodigy 801 as my go to e-cig these days. No worries with it flooding the battery. Lil Queen says it looks too much like a flashlight for her. LOL. But she admits it hits like you know what, and will use it when no one is looking.

I am with Lil Queen on hiding to vape a big flashlight mod but they do wield some serious power!

Since I tried the manual battery, I have never even looked back to the automatic ones. I love having complete control over my vaping experience, which is basically what you have in a manual PV.

Now I am on the hunt for the next powerful (hits like you know what) yet little-enough-to-fit-in-my-hands 901 mod! I think I may have found it, too! Will report back when I know a little more!

The 808D has a version two that replaced the old silicon flap with a magneto switch. I noticed when I place the rubber cover caps from the cartomizer on the battery it tends to light up the LED on the V1 bats. The V2 batteries do not and they have a second or two more drag time than the origionals.

I also discovered recently that people like using 808D batteries to replace their 901s. I'm wondering if anyone here has tried that?

Mamacat that was a great suggestion I have been doing this ever since and I have not lost a battery due to juice. Thanks for the tip.
