The Super Six from Super T
The Super Six Review
This the story of the experience of buying and using (in the first few days) a Super Six from Super T manufacturing.
Why did I buy it?
I'm a happy and very satisfied Screwdriver user, so why by a Super Six? As a car nut, I'm attracted to thing that are “engineered” and the Super T products seemed to be designed and made with that sort of ethos.
The buying experience
I contacted David at Super T via personal message on ECF, because his web-site didn't seem to want to cope with an international order. David was very responsive and, via a direct PayPal exchange, I ordered a Super Six with all three of the atomiser fitment options.
The long wait
I had ordered on the 29th November, so although David has said “about six weeks”, I was expecting shipment mid-January onwards. Come mid-January, I took to messaging David at intervals – the response was normally “five more working days”. I concluded from this and messages posted on the Super T forum on ECF, that David was a bit of a perfectionist and tended to underestimate how long it would take him to fulfil orders. On 15thrd February, I got a letter from Parcel Force UK to tell me that they had my Super Six and wished to rob me for UK Value-added tax and their own “handling charge” to the tune of £36! (I stress this was entirely robbery by the UK Government and had nothing to do with anything David had done). So on the 24th
February I collected my Super Six. Total turn-around about 13 weeks, but I had it! February I got a message from David that mine had shipped, followed the following day with a tracking number. On the morning of 23
The package
The Super Six came in a nice sturdy shipping box which contained a number of snap-lock bags containing: the SuperSix body in a nice velvet bag with the switch and the 510 atomiser fitment attached; the 901 fitment;, the adjustable 801 fitment; and a bag of spare washers, O-rings and a second longer spring.
There was also a sheet of very clear instructions.
Getting started
I intend to use the Super Six at 3.7v and the instructions told me to swap the short spring with was attached to the switch with the longer spring from the spares bag. I should then drop the switch into the body with the spring and large rubber spring cap fitted over it, drop in a 14500 battery (I had these ready charged) and then fit the atomiser end (I chose to fit the 901 end first as I wanted to try out a cartomiser with the S6).
The instructions them told to to add/remove washers to the switch (they fit under the brass screw) until the “throw” on the button suited me. This I did, and settled for a fairly short throw.
Here's the switch and spring as used:

Here is the assembled Super Six:
To check everything was working, I fitted a TW 901 atomiser I had to hand (it was on my Screwdriver), pressed the button a took a long draw... It worked! Hooray!! It provided an identical vape to my Screwdriver – not surprising really – and I was well pleased.
I have tried the Super Six with the following now (adjusting the draw by turning the little screw in the 801 resulted in a bout of “where did I put my hex keys”!)
- The 901
- The 808 Cartomiser (on the 901 fitting)
- The 4081 (with an adapter on the 901 fitting)
- The 401 (with an adapter on the 901 fitting)
- The regular 510
- The mega 510 and cartridge
- The 801
Here's a picture with the cartomiser fitted:
So what do I think?
The Super Six is beautifully crafted and has quality and thoughtfully designed parts. It vapes beautifully and supports a wide range of atomisers as standard – even more with adapters. With most the vape is the same as my Screwdriver, but the adjustable draw feature with the 801 atomiser is excellent and makes that atomiser nicer to use. The Super Six is light and nice to hold, I work the button the same way as I do with the Screwdriver, but the adjustable throw is great and the button action really smooth and sharp. The "recessed button" is a real plus. The Super Six is slimmer than even my Mk1 Screwdriver, but I must confess that, thus far, the shape of the Screwdriver probably wins on “ergonomics”.
Conclusion so far:
The Super Six is a work of real craftsmanship and design, superbly made and both versatile and nice to use – I shall be keeping it, it's lovely. Fortunate – given the Super Six is “premium product” in terms of price too...
Hats off to David for making “something special”.
