Mark T Infinity Atomiser
Mark T Infinity Atomiser
Part 1 - Out of the box and use for dripping

Default Mark T Infinity Atomiser

Why?????

I was attracted to the Mark T for two reasons: firstly, I thought in looked nice in terms of design and aesthetics, and secondly, I wanted a purpose built repairable dripping atomiser.

I have the Bulli A2 and A2-T and if I'm honest, I very rarely use the A2-T. Although the A2-T is probably the best tank atomiser I've tried, I just don't get on with tanks - they all seem to have "muted" flavour compared to the non-tank version. The A2, on the other hand, is wonderful and I like using it with the 701 carts which wick better than any other cart I've come across.

However, the Mark T comes with both dripping and tank configurations, and from the pictures I saw looked visually GREAT in its dripping set up.

I know it's VERY expensive, and given that I will hardly ever use it in tank mode, may seem a daft purchase by me. (Ok - I'm daft, by I like things that have nice shapes and appearance - I also like nice engineering and the propaganda said this would be well made).

The box and its contents:

So this is what I got (once I'd unwrapped the "Cloud 9 Purple Tissue"):

And on removing the lid:

Three snap bags - one containing a tank cartridge and the other two containing the various components.

The first "other" bag contained:

The atomiser itself, the "tank spike" component with gauze inserted in the spike, and the "tank body" for holding the cartridge.

Here's a close up of the atomiser:

The second "other" bag contained:

A drip tip, the "dripping body" (note the single 901 style breather hole), and the "cone" for making things look neat when using an eGo battery.

The box also contained three bags containing lengths of wired wick in 12mm, 13mm and 15mm sizes. Here an example:

The Mark T used for dripping

I put some juice on the wick and then screwed on the dripping body and fitted the drip tip:

I should say at this point that everything screws together beautifully - no thread issues at all.

I then fitted this to onto my Super T Precise Plus 18350:

I think it looks grand - prettier (and more petite) than the Bulli in this form.

So what's it like?

I stuck a few more drops down the tip and started... At first it was "OK", but seemed to break in quite quickly and now its grand. Here a picture of a "short stab" on the Precise's button:

I haven't tested the ohmage or load tested this set up yet, but superficially it performs more like a "fairly" LR 901 than anything else (here I agree with Rawveg (Tim) ) in the way it came coiled. I will probably go a bit more "LR" when I recoil it - to "hot it up" just a tad. In terms of flavour, it's similar to my HH.357 901/306 hybrid atty, but doesn't have the same hit or heat (not surprising - I think this is a "modest configuration in "out of the box" form). Vapour production is grand... However, it really eats up the juice.

What next?

Once the current coil starts fading I will try re-coiling using the supplied wick/coil and report back (complete with ohmage/load figures)

What about the TANK?????

I'll get round to it There has been a LOT of debate about this side of the Mark T, and I want to try it out in tank form "out of the box" and then see how much faffing about is actually needed. I have loads of Bulli wire and wick so could get it working fine I'm sure, but I'd like to make it work as supplied if possible. Given my lack of interest in tanks though - don't expect this tomorrow

It just goes to show that one of the earliest atty/carto designs, the GeenCig line has plenty of legs.

For dripping, a little more wick would probably be a good idea.
