I have an ounce of menthol crystals I bought back when I was doing no nic exclusively, just to try and get more of a throat hit. But I am not a menthol kind of guy, Lil Queen has never been a menthol smoker either, but she does on occasion add a little to her mix, just to have a change in taste. One little crystal is all it takes, any more and it taste like Vicks Vapo rub.

I got my crystals in 1/4 oz. bags. I mix 1/2 bag (1/8 oz.) in about 60ml of alcohol. (I use the Jim Beam) It keeps well in a sealed bottle. When I mix a batch of juice, I add about 5ml of the menthol mix to a 30ml bottle of juice.

I have been using Electronicstix Rath E-bacco and VaporTalk's Dulcis and they both are pretty good I am waiting to see what they do to my atty's.They have to much good flavor for me to get away with vaping them ,I am afraid.

Mixing the crystals with Grain alcohol would give him the menthol base for his juice. Any other flavoring would be his choice. The Grain alcohol doesn't interfere with the flavorings, as far as I've noticed, but increases the throat hit.

Thanks Mage!

IMHO it is overly complicated for nothing. Let me explain...

I calls for a guesstimate wrt % of flavouring etc... I have failed with guesstimates. It is great if you already have a recipe and you want to reduce nic content whatever without loosing flavour, even then the accuracy is, so so.

The way I mix is, mix a base of 75/25 or even 80/20 PG/VG @ whatever mg, then add the flavouring, drop by drop, flavour by flavour and then figure out the % after you have reached where you want it. Then that % can be used for subsequent recipes, to pin point accuracy using the calc. The decrease in nicotine level is negligible unless you really want to be specific.

It is a great mixing tool, it's not a great developing tool, is what I am trying to say.

So when I try something new, I use my base (already prepared, at the right mg of nic) and place in a 3ml bottle, then add the flavouring until I am happy. As I go along I drip my recipe on a clean atty, until I get it right, blowing out the atty as I go along increasing strenght. I hope this all makes sense. LOL
