Default Possible Ban In England

Read on another forum, they may add in the E-Cig with the ban on smoking over the pond. Not verified yet but would be bad for our Brit vapers.

The ideas are not as yet coming from politicians, and not all regulatory bodies are taking the same stance. I wouldn't expect anything to happen to soon, as there is an election in the offing. The stuff in question would be about using ecigs in "public places" (not banning their sale) and has, I suspect, its roots in "laziness" - ie how can we easily tell if someone is vaping rather than smoking?? - nah! let's just bust em all

If those people would only realise that they are going to have to pay the taxes that smokers used to pay they would probably shut up .A lot of smokers do not pay much else in tax besides tobacco tax and fuel tax as they are in the lower income lower /no tax brackets some get more tax refund than they pay in.

It's a shame that people can't stick together. Fuel, Tobacco, & Alcohol taxes skyrocket, everyone complains, but in the end, everyone pays. Now the e-cig comes along, untaxed, and the Government is scrambling to grab the bucks.

I have read today that the UK has lifted their ban on ecigs, with the caveat that they be used with regulated medicinal nicotine. This is all without fanfare, but Big Brother want's a cut on the action. The good news it is a step in the right direction but 10 backwards. I believe that importation oof nicotine will remain a banned substance.
