A non-profit drug research organization said today that, in the first quarter of 2008, the smoking cessation drug Chantix was the subject of more serious side effect reports than any other medication currently on the market. According to the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, during that time period, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) received 1001 adverse event reports – including deaths – in regards to Chantix. Researchers at the Institute said Chantix needs to carry stronger warnings about its potential risks of accidental injury and death.

A Warning about Chantix and Suicide
The musician’s apparent Chantix-caused death prompted the FDA to issue an Early Warning about the unexpected side effects of this drug:

• suicidal ideation (thoughts of committing suicide)
• suicidal behavior
• agitation / nervousness
• mood swings
• unexplained behavior
• depression
• impairment of the ability to drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery

Isn't it truly amazing!! My doctor gave me a script for Chantix some year and a half ago, which still lies unfilled on the counter. After hearing about all of the "issues" associated with using that particular drug, I decided I needed to find an alternate route! Then I hear about the e-cig and think - WOW this could really be the way to go.

So I am almost five months in and I have been very successful at being able to lay the nasty habit down! Today I only vape about 1ml of juice, albeit 36mg, and I have broken the hand to mouth habit that I found so hard to deal with when attempting to quit smoking.

It is truly remarkable what some will do in an effort to further repress a shunned community!

A stent and some lifestyle changes and I am good as a good used one.I never noticed my capacity decreasing over the years my arteries were clogging up but I sure noticed the difference when they got them flowing again.If you are over fifty or have any of the risks please go get checked they have non invasive procedures now with digital imaging, here it costs $100.00 to look for clogs.Heart attacks are not as fun as it sounds.
