Default UPS FedX Hazard Lithium Charge!
I just got an email from BatterySpace.com that said because of new DOT regulations there will be a $35 charge per box for 2nd day up shipping of Lithium batteries.

I had emailed these folks about smart battery chargers for Lithium batteries.

I would check with BatteryJunction.com Batteries, Battery Chargers, Flashlights, Solar Products & more! that sounds a little steep.

Thanks for the additional source for chargers Mc.

It is future shipments of E Cigs that worries me.

$35 per box added to shipping costs!!!

Shipping batteries of the likes by air has been something of a concern for some time now.

Go ground, unless you absolutely have to have it that fast.

I think we are fixing to be regulated and surcharged underground.History buffs may need to research prohibition books for ideas on where we are headed.

You may be right MCQ!

Try goin ground when most US suppliers ship USPS priority.

And... ground from China is REAL hard.

I thought your concerns were with the 2nd day air shipping charges from batteryspace.com. I was not aware that batteryspace was out of China. I always thought they were based in California. Now I'm confused.

Regardless, shipping from China has always been expensive, you just have to place a large enough order to justify the cost.

Ummmmmm, there's more here than meets the eye. Some "battery" shipments/orders to Canada have been turned around (back to vendor) at the Chinese border. I'll keep yall posted wrt this.

Royal, my concerns are that there might soon be an extra $35 charge for all US by air shipments of Lithium batts. I hope I am wrong! That email from batterysource, that sells chargers and batts, just skared me.
