ZFM - Zero Filler Mod for 510

I've recently purchased this mod from a member, who is the creator of it, on another forum (mostly because I'm lazy and can't work with tiny items anymore).

The ZFM is a 510 cartridge with an inserted widestraw (with a large 'V' cut in its base), to act as a support for a silicone plug that has an "H" cut in the center for the atomizer bridge tip to fit through.

Originally the plug was made from a 510 cart condom base that had a hole punched out in the center for the bridge, but it was found that 3 different hole sizes were needed to be used at any given time due to juice viscosity or bridge thicknesses which made it inconsistant in preventing atomizer flooding and leaking.

Then, a new style cut (the "H" cut) was created along with a new slightly thinner than the cart condom but out of a silicone material that allowed the penetration of the varied size/thickness of atomizer bridges out there, and the juice viscosity was now a non issue.

The "H" cut in the silicone plug allows the flaps to go between the bridge and aids in preventing flooding or leaking when the tip of the bridge is penetrated thru it and into the non filler reservoir.

So now, you no longer have to worry about wicking if your hitting your PV a lot, nor do you need to be concerned about getting a burnt/dry filler or atomizer taste since the bridge tip is always in contact with juice until all the juice is gone from the cart reservoir.

*Of course, you need to be observant of the angle your vaping at (or holding the device following a vape) to ensure then juice in the reservoir is tilted towards the atomizer.

In other words, its like a contant drip vape without the need to keep dripping the atomizer.

I had to modify mine slightly (just had to cut the straw heigth a "sliver" to prevent the thin plug from distorting slightly due to my large wide SLB 510 atty bridges) as I needed this to work perfectly for a hassle free 5v vape on my GLV.

I'm extremely happy with this new mod and have been using it all week without issue.

You can either buy the set up that includes the carts, inserted precut straws, and plugs (these sell out very fast once available), OR you can buy just the plugs and use your own carts and cut your own straws to fit.

*Note: I don't know where the heck he buys his 510 blank carts, but they are the tightest fitting cart to atomizer I have ever owned !!

Unfortunately, I also don't know where he sourced his plug silicone material, nor do I know what he users to punch out the "H" cut, so I can't make any recommendation on making them yourself yet.

All I can say is that this ZFM MOD has replaced my past very satisfied use of the BFM (Blue Foam Mod) !!

I'm actually still using original carts. I still have a big supply of carts that are still factory sealed. Maybe I'll try cart mods in the future, but i getting along great as is.
