I have done this in the past, when I had nothing better to do with my time. LOL.
A person would also have to remove the little washer that is under the end cap as well.
The best and easiest way to remove the end is by pushing it up and out with a small stiff wire or paper clip sleeved up though the air chamber slots located on the sides near the bottom end with the filler material.
I found that in doing as mcquinn posted, I got no real noticeable increase in vapor but did result in a hot tasting vape. I tossed my modified blank and considered it a lesson learned.
I surmised from this experiment that the washer under the end cap serves as more than just a back splash to keep juice from running up into your mouth, but also is a bafflle that is a method of cooling the vapor for a more pleasant draw.
keep in mind that the only real way to increase air flow is to increase the air intake holes on the sides of the atomizer to battery connector as well. But if air flow is increased in this manner, so will the vapor be dilluted. You will be getting more air and less aerosolized vapor. I would think that the designers of these atomizers have gone through great lengths and testing to optimize performance, taste and flavor.
But this doesn't mean we can't experiment. Who knows, something better may result. Worst case, we just ruined an atomizer or a cart.
