Your supposed to throw them away?I have a box full of atty and battery corpses .I have actually used more batteries than atty's in the six months I have been vaping.I have junked five atty's and about eight batteries.

The old battaries are basically useless to me. They are one of the few things I throw away, after cutting off the connector. I don't need a bunch of leaking batteries laying around.

Now the fun begins,inventing things to vape with.Ihave a collection of passthroughs and mods.MadVapes is probably a good investment ,I bet they sell a lot of mod parts.I made some neat passthroughs from auto power adapters I found at Goodwill.I cut USB extension cords up for the cord and I used the other half on some 5 volt wall warts I had in my junk box.

Some vapers are rescuing the atties from old 808d's-I have many 808's that have perfectly good atties but that I don't use because of burnt taste and fillers, etc.

I tried that.The 510 ones with the brass threads the filler pops out pretty easy but the aluminum ones I usually use the element is embeded in there pretty good .I didn't they were much good for anything though.They were leaky like an atty you take the bridge out of there is nothing to hold the liquid it just runs through.For no more than I have invested in carto's I just toss them .I love a fresh carto filled with Dekang CML.

So you dont pull the fiber and replace with fluval fish foam? Everything I have read was, vape them to just the point of bad taste and pull the fiber and replace with foam. Refill and enjoy! I am going to post a YT video soon just to show newbies how much vapor you can get from a KR808D-1. I'm vaping one as I type and when I exhale I can no longer see my monitor! I I purchase my carts empty from VK and I ordered some manual batts to boot. Got some ice essence from ELP and vaped the heck out of it, but I was missing something (maybe just to sweet). I really craved the menthol tobacco flavor, but I also loved the minty taste of the ice. So, I went to smokers outlet and purchased a bottle of their nasty 32mg menthol liquid and a bottle of run of the mill USA Green (PG) and some high quality VG. In small batches it's wonderful! My fomula for menthol smokers who have JUST quit (your taste will change, but this is as close as I could come to being real). Ok, so, Smokers Outlet 32 mg menthol nic liq(VG), 16mg USA green(PG) and high quality VG. Small batch is as follows: 2mg Menthol, 1mg VG, .25mg USA Green mix (PG) and .25 distilled ionized water. Mix well and follow fill instructions found on this forum for your needs and model. As I said earlier I use a KR808D-1 and I have 2 kinds of batts, 1 from V4L(auto) and 3 from VK's (manual). I order my empty carts from VK's and my manuals from them as well. VK's has the BEST customer service, I recieved a bad battery from them on my first order and they sent me a replacement at no charge! I just turned it into a USB passthough with instructions found in this forum. Hope this helps newbies, as I am one as well. This formula produces an INSANE amount of vapor and is quite satisfying for heavy menthol smokers. As a test to this testament I let a Newport smoker "hit" my steampipe and she said she felt like she just smoked a pack of cigarettes..LOL This is my everyday vape, taste like cigs and gives the same in visuals as well as TH. On cartos the element is in direct contact with a fiberglass type fill.On cartridges where you use the Fluval the filler does not contact the element.The Fluval or Blue foam meters the liquid to the bridge which is in close proximity to the element and the liquid heats up and vaporises.If you stuffed the plastic filler in a cartomiser 808 or otherwise I am sure it would just melt.I pulled the filler out of a carto and used it for dripping and other than the leaking it worked pretty good.There are some who boil or otherwise clean and reuse cartomisers and I suppose that would work if you don't let it get too dry, which scorches the filler and makes it taste bad and does not produce much vapor as the filler near the element is melted into a solid blob.I also noticed the few times I used 5 volts with cartridges that the filler and the end of the cartridge melted pretty quick.

Hmm.... That's interesting information there. Glad I did'nt pull the fiber and put in foam! I boil and wash my carto's and it works pretty good. I usually let them air dry for two days before I refill. I use a .5ml insulin syringe with the needle broke off for refilling them. The force of the liquid coming out of the end seems to be just enough to fill them nicely and .5ml also seems to be just enough liquid. I have a 3ml baby medicine dropper (plastic with a bulbus end) and a rubber sleeve that I pulled off an ink pen to make the connection between the dropper and the carto to wash them. I put the carto in the sleeve with the end cap off and away from the dropper. Then pull extremely hot water up to the dropper then push back out (I repeat this process until the water runs clear) then leave the cap off and stand on end with the fiber facing a paper towel. It pretty much erases the flavor from the previous fill. But I always vape the same flavors from the same cartos.
