Nichrome in the diameter used to make an atty, an 1/8th lb. reel of Nichrome I would imagine would be enough to make thousands of attys. I am sitting here holding a 1lb. reel of .0031" nichrome and I would guess there must be a million feet on it.
For the DIYer who wants to attempt to make thier own attys this is a good source to puchase your Nichrome.

I've been thinking of making one. Not a duplicate to use in an e-cig, but a dripping type for at home. No juice cup, just direct drip. Looking at the GeenCig and KR cartomizers there's more than one way to skin a cat. The hardest part will be attaching the wire leads, as the Nichrome is not solder friendly. Wrapping the wire around a gob of silica rope, shooting for about 3 ohms shouldn't be that hard. Nor does it have to pretty.
