808D Battery Revival
A few years ago my ipod battery was dying out. It wouldn't hold a charge for very long so I was asking a friend where I could get a new one. He suggested that I wrap the ipod in a paper towel, place it in a ziplock freezer bag, and put it in the freezer. It seemed to work! I'm not a battery expert but the theory behind the ipod was the battery expands as it gets hot and by putting it into the freezer it contracts and allows it to hold a larger charge again.
So ... I had an 808D Battery that I purchased with my first e-cig. After some 300 charges it would not seem to last as long and in addition it did not perform like it first did. So I put it in the freezer for 12 hours yesterday, let it warm up a little and dry. After putting the battery through a full charge cycle it performed better! Not exactly like when it was new, but it definitely improved the battery's performance with the cartomizer. Prior to the freezing it, it would make the cart's shell hot and would wear out fast. Well, like I said it performed much better and did not heat up the cart until it had approximately 20-30% of its juice left.
It seemed to work so I thought I'd pass on the challenge to anyone out there with an old battery to see if they had the same results. I'm really curious to hear back from people to see what they experience. Make sure to wrap the battery in a paper towel and place it in a ziplock freezer bag, letting all the air to keep out the moisture. 12 hours is how long it stayed in the freezer.
Of course there is not substitute for a fresh one
