In the Sunday April 25th edition of the San Antonio Express News paper, in a section called "PARADE" I read an article about Tom Petty and the Heart breakers getting ready to go on tour again. Tom just released his first new album in over eight years,
"Mojo", and will playing songs from his new release while on tour.
In this article was an interview with Tom in which he talks about his life, family and homes, one of which is a club house where he keeps his collection of some 140 guitars and also where the band rehearses.
Ben Torres who interviewed Tom, goes on to describe what he sees while talking with Tom, I quote what was said here.

In front of Tom is a small bottle of Coke. His right hand twiddles with a thin brown stick. "Got my electric cigarette here," he says. "It gives you a shot of nicotine and steam." The vapors substitute for smoke. "I'm using these to edge off the smoking." he says."It just part of getting older and realizing you have to straighten up." Petty has reason to be thinking about his health. In October, he turns 60, and that's allright by him. As he likes to say, "If you're not getting older, you're dead."

I have seen Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in concert several times over the years, and have always left the show saying, Man! that was one hell of a show, Tom is cool!
Looks like at nearly 60 he is still just as cool as ever, only now he is Vapin' cool.
