Hey Mike, you are so right about electric/hybrid cars not being cost effective. With what little increase in mileage you get is offest by the higher initial purchase price, which is usually a markup of 4 to 5 grand over conventional models. And the potential repair costs would take too mamy years to make up the difference.
Last time we went car shopping, a salesman tried to pressure a hybrid sale. I told him they weren't cost effective, and gave him my perspective on it. His reply was, yeah, but think about global warming and how much better the planet would be by going green. I said the only thing that will go green will by the pile of cash you are asking for.
No thanks, now show me your biggest 4x4 SUVs. LOL.
