The option is still there, just not with a typical battery. If we used an 18 volt power supply with proper amperage rating, it would be ideal with an output of about 12.85 watts. As calculated by what mcquinn stated.
Still the question is how long to heat up and cool down. Once it reaches a desired operating temperature, how long will it continue to produce vapor until it cools down enough to stop.
