1ML is what i have been told. If the carto is empty. I do just under 1ml and have had no overfills. I do use a syringe and makes life so very easy. Pop off both caps and insert sharp/not blunt syringe between the filling and carto wall. Slowly go to bottom and as you slowly release juice rotate cart and bring needle up cart. Really is easy.
