mcquinn, I ran in to the same thing awhile back. I couldn't get a new 4072 atty to draw liquid from the cart. It seems I was using an 801 cart. I didn't know their was any difference until Royal showed me that one is longer than the other.
I tried the different cart and then the high bridged 4072 atty would suck a cart dry.
It is the low bridge types I have had trouble with, getting to make contact with the cartridge. I was always having to lift the filler to get it to work.
